YOUTH RESOURCE WORKER

The Youth Resource Worker manages a DOCS funded project which provides resources and support to Youth SAAP services in the Nepean region.

The project is auspiced by Marist Youth Care but operates independently as Youth Accommodation Interagency Network (YAIN), with a steering Committee comprising service providers and a representative from DOCS.

YAIN represents the interests of SAAP services across the following Local Government Areas:

• Penrith
• Blue Mountains
• Hawkesbury
• Blacktown (part only)

The aims of the project are:

• To bring services together in working partnerships in order to raise the quality of service delivery
• To advocate for service needs
• To raise awareness of best practice
• To assist services to meet funding requirements
• To facilitate information and resource sharing
• Other functions as determined by the network consistent with the funding agreement.
