Once a year, 10 unskilled Aboriginal people are selected to participate in the program and they are provided with training in a Certificate IV in Community Services, support to obtain a drivers licence, and hands-on job experience in the Community Services industry as a youth worker in various programs.

The program, partially funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations under the Indigenous Employment Program, has been running since 2008 and boasts a long term retention rate of more than 81%.
