What is Pete's Place?
Pete's Place is an alternative learning environment which is registered with the NSW Board of Studies as a campus of The John Berne School, Lewisham.
Pete's Place supports students to complete a Year 10 Record of School Achievement (ROSA) or Life Skills Record of School Achievement. Pete's Place takes a holistic approach to learning and consults with parents and carers, mental health professionals and relevant parties involved in a young person's care.
Pete's Place offers more intensive support with learning and an individualised education program for each student focussing on academic, social and emotional learning.
Other programs currently on offer include SHINE (building resilience and self worth in girls) and ACE (Adolescents Coping with Emotions)

Pete's Place is located at 151 Reservoir Road, Blacktown and is accessible by bus from Blacktown Station.
Who attends Pete's Place?
Pete's Place enrols Year 7 – 10 girls and boys with complex needs who have been unable to succeed in mainstream schools but are seeking to complete Year 10.
Positive outcomes have been achieved for students who face barriers such as anxiety, learning disorders, school refusal, truancy, bullying, depression and various mental health issues.
